Why We Keep Waiting for the Right Time to Change Our Lives

The first step toward changing yourself begins when you tell yourself, “I want to change my life.” Until you make this decision, no one else can come and change your life for you. People keep waiting for the right time, but the truth is that the right time never comes. Take one small decision today—give up a bad habit or develop a good one. Then see how your life begins to change. Don’t wait for the right time; instead, make your time right Don’t wait for the right time to change your life. The people who think you are weak today will listen to your success story tomorrow. Keep moving forward a little every day. Remember, many people dream, but only a few work to turn their dreams into reality. Work hard today so that tomorrow your name becomes your own identity. Why Do We Keep Waiting for the Right Time? Many people keep saying that now is not the right time. They think they will start when things get better, when their fear becomes less, and when everything is fine. But the trut...

Is AI Making Us More Productive—or More Dependent?

Earlier, people used to do small tasks themselves, such as writing emails, applications, messages, or creating small projects. But nowadays, people have become quite dependent on AI for both small and big tasks. AI has certainly made our lives easier, but it has also made us somewhat lazy. We are increasingly relying on AI instead of thinking, understanding, and doing things ourselves. Has AI reduced our ability to think independently, solve problems, and use our creativity?

There is no need to worry too much about Artificial Intelligence, friends. Think of AI as having a super-smart assistant right at your fingertips. Imagine you are stuck somewhere on the way and need to reach home quickly. In such a situation, you can ask AI how to get home faster, and it can help you find the easiest and best possible route.

AI: A Smart Assistant or a Replacement for Our Thinking?

                   AI helps ,Humans decide

Looking at the future, one thing is quite certain: the use of AI will continue to increase. However, that does not mean AI will take away all your skills. Critical thinking and emotional intelligence will still remain with you. Ultimately, it depends on your wisdom and understanding of how you choose to use AI to your advantage.

People say that AI will take away your job, but the real truth is a little different. AI will not take your job; instead, the person who has learned how to use AI properly will move ahead of you. In today’s world, there is no need to be afraid of AI; rather, we need to learn how to make it our most powerful assistant.

How AI Is Changing the Way We Do Small Tasks

                     AI makes small task easier

AI is a technology that helps machines learn and think in a way that is similar to humans. This means AI can learn from data, understand problems, find solutions, and perform many tasks like humans. However, the technology behind AI is quite complex and works with the help of data and algorithms.

AI is making our daily tasks much easier and simpler. For example, it can help children with their homework, and for minor health concerns, AI can provide general information and guidance, while serious or persistent problems should always be discussed with a doctor. If you have any kind of job, you can also use AI to help with small tasks. AI can make your work easier, faster, and more efficient.

I once came across a story about a pregnant woman who experienced sudden abdominal pain and used ChatGPT for guidance. The important lesson was not that AI can replace a doctor, but that AI can sometimes encourage people to seek professional help when they might otherwise ignore a warning sign.”

Are We Becoming Too Dependent on AI?

                       Think beyond AI

Nowadays, young people have become quite dependent on AI, and there is some truth to this. Earlier, children used to find answers to difficult questions on their own, but now AI can complete tasks such as projects, coding, and assignments within minutes. As a result, people are using their brains less. AI makes work easier, but it is not right to depend on it for everything.

When people today are becoming increasingly dependent on AI, it is also becoming a potential threat to human-related jobs. But the question is: which sectors will be affected the most? Will the jobs of engineers who work in coding be replaced? What about people working in call centres? Will AI replace accounting professionals, people working in the medical field, or even those doing labour-intensive jobs?

We are living in an era where the line between humans and machines is becoming increasingly blurred. Humanoid robots are no longer science fiction but a reality, entering cafés, hospitals, factories, and classrooms. According to the World Economic Forum, AI and automation could displace 85 million jobs by 2030 while creating 97 million new roles. The question is: Are you ready for this changing future, and can a robot ever truly feel human emotions?

When Convenience Turns Into Laziness

       Easy life,lazy mind?

Think about the last time you actually used your own brain. Today, whenever you need an answer to a question, ChatGPT can provide it. If homework feels difficult, ChatGPT can write it for you, and if you need a new idea, ChatGPT can come up with one. But what are we doing? Constant reliance on AI may be making us not smarter, but lazier. Research suggests that critical thinking and problem-solving skills can be affected because people are increasingly becoming dependent on asking ChatGPT instead of thinking for themselves.

Our brain is like a muscle—the more we use it, the stronger it becomes. But these days, people hardly think or reason for themselves. Whether it’s a difficult task, writing something meaningful, or solving a problem, we often turn to AI immediately. We have handed over much of our thinking and creative work to AI. If we continue doing this, our brains may gradually become dependent on convenience and less willing to think, making us mentally lazy and passive.

AI is making our work easier, but somewhere, it is also pushing us toward laziness. We were supposed to make AI our assistant, but gradually, we have turned it into our replacement. Our dependence on AI has grown so much that many people are finding it difficult to think for themselves without AI. This excessive dependence on AI could have serious consequences in the future.

Is AI Affecting Our Problem-Solving Skills?

                      Think first Ask AI later

Is AI affecting our problem-solving skills? Not necessarily, because when you ask AI a question and it provides an answer, it is still up to you to decide whether that answer is correct or not. What does your own gut feeling tell you? How far do you agree with the answer provided by AI? In my opinion, take help from AI, but never follow AI blindly. Always use your own reasoning, judgment, and critical thinking before accepting an AI-generated answer.

If you ask AI for every small problem, remember that it can make you smarter, but it can also make you dependent. Earlier, when you couldn’t solve a maths problem, you would think, make mistakes, and try again. Today, we simply ask AI and get the answer. But if you don’t understand the solution, you may need AI again for the same problem tomorrow.

So, don’t use AI as an answer machine. Ask for a hint first, try solving the problem yourself, and then use AI to check your answer. The future is not just about knowing how to use AI—it’s about knowing when to use AI and when to think for yourself.

Creativity in the Age of Artificial Intelligence

                     Creativity is evolving with AI

Are machines becoming more creative than humans? A recent scientific study explored this question by comparing AI models with the creativity of more than 100,000 people using the Divergent Association Task. Surprisingly, some AI models, especially GPT-4, performed better than the average human.

However, AI could not outperform the most creative 10% of people. Humans still appear to have an edge in deep storytelling, emotional poetry, and original art. AI’s creativity can also change with different settings, making it a powerful tool to enhance human creativity rather than replace it.

Today, AI has become an important part of our everyday lives—from education and work to travel and entertainment. AI is not a replacement for humans; when used wisely, it is a powerful tool. Understand it, learn it, and use it effectively to make your life better.

How to Use AI Without Losing Our Own Thinking Ability

Think first , Then use AI

If you are a student and using AI only to get answers, you are missing out on its real power. Suppose you don’t understand a topic in Physics. Simply ask AI: “Explain this topic to me like a beginner, give me real-life examples, then create three questions for me and check my answers too.

This way, AI won’t just give you answers; it will become your personal study partner. But remember, use AI for studying, but don’t let AI do the thinking for you. Because you will be the one sitting in the exam—not AI.

Artificial Intelligence should be used only to the extent that it does not weaken our independent thinking. A preliminary study by the MIT Media Lab found lower brain connectivity and cognitive engagement among ChatGPT users. Use AI, but never let your thinking skills become inactive.

AI Is a Tool—The Final Decision Should Be Ours

                  Let AI assist, not decide

There is nothing wrong with using technology if it provides convenience and helps make your future better. However, we make a mistake when we start relying on AI to make major decisions in our lives. Choosing a career, deciding whom to marry, and making other important life decisions require independent thinking, personal values, and human understanding.

Let’s talk about career first. AI can look at your marks, skills, and market trends and tell you which fields have good potential, but it cannot know which kind of work truly makes you happy. Similarly, when it comes to marriage, AI can give you advice, but only you can decide what kind of life partner you can emotionally connect with.

AI should only be used as an assistant, while we should make our own decisions, especially about important aspects of life. Human understanding has its own value. Machines can support us, but they can never truly understand or provide emotional security like humans can.

Conclusion
AI may become better than humans at many tasks, but intelligence is not just about knowledge and speed. Humans have emotions, experiences, and the ability to understand right and wrong. The real question is not how smart AI will become, but how wisely we use it. AI should support humans, while important decisions should remain in human hands.

  1. I think the real question is not whether we are becoming dependent on AI, but what we are choosing to become dependent on it for. We have always created tools to reduce effort. The problem starts when we outsource not just the task, but also the judgement, questioning and learning behind it. AI can make us more capable, but only if we remain active participants in the process.

  2. I personally have learned a lot from AI. It all depends on what you are looking for and how you use AI.

  3. Really interesting reflection. I think the key distinction is between using AI to think better and using AI instead of thinking.

Coming from an IT background and now working with professionals on communication and English, I see this difference quite clearly.

AI can be an incredible assistant: it can help us organise ideas, explore alternatives, practise difficult conversations, improve a presentation or challenge our assumptions. Used this way, it can actually make us more effective.

The risk starts when we outsource the whole process: the thinking, the decision-making, the creativity and even our own voice.

I see this particularly with communication. If someone asks AI to write every email, presentation or LinkedIn post from scratch, they may become faster, but not necessarily a better communicator. If instead they develop the idea themselves and use AI to refine, question or strengthen it, they are still building the skill.

For me, the most valuable skill in the AI era will probably not be knowing how to get AI to do everything for us. It will be knowing what to delegate to AI, what to question, and what we still need to do ourselves.

AI should be the co-pilot, not the pilot.

  5. Grand Rising

I think the key distinction here is between using AI to extend our thinking and using AI to avoid thinking.

A calculator didn't make mathematics worthless. GPS didn't make navigation irrelevant. But when we outsource a skill completely, we risk becoming less practised at that skill.

AI should challenge us, expose us to perspectives we hadn't considered, accelerate repetitive work and give us more capacity for the things that require distinctly human judgement.

Because the future shouldn't be human intelligence versus artificial intelligence.

The exciting possibility is what happens when AI increases human capability without replacing human curiosity, judgement and independent thought. 🙏🏾💜🙏🏻

This is a remarkably thoughtful and timely perspective! The point about using AI as an assistant rather than a full replacement for our own thinking is spot on. As the lines between human and machine continue to blur, true growth will come from knowing when to leverage technology and when to pause and think for ourselves.

Thank you for sharing such a valuable reminder!

  8. A very timely perspective. The real risk isn’t AI becoming smarter—it’s humans becoming less willing to think.

AI should **amplify our intelligence, not replace our judgment**. The real advantage will belong to those who combine AI with critical thinking, creativity, and emotional intelligence.

The future isn’t humans vs. AI—it’s **humans who use AI thoughtfully vs. those who depend on it passively.** 👏

  10. I believe the real question is not whether AI is making us dependent, but whether we are using it consciously or simply handing over our thinking to it.

Every powerful tool has the potential to either strengthen us or weaken us—it depends on how we use it. AI can help us learn faster, explore different perspectives, organise our ideas and improve the quality of our work. But if we start outsourcing our curiosity, judgment and decision-making completely, then convenience can slowly turn into dependency.

For me, the best approach is to think first, question deeply, and then use AI as a partner to refine and expand our ideas. AI should help us become better thinkers, not give us an excuse to stop thinking.

The future may not belong to those who let AI do everything for them, but to those who know how to combine human experience, creativity and judgment with the power of AI.

AI should be our co-pilot, but the direction of our journey must remain in human hands. 🤖🧠

  11. Ritika, this is another excellent blog, and I genuinely enjoyed reading it. You have taken a very important conversation about AI and made it practical, relatable, and thought-provoking.

Here are 10 reasons why I personally believe this blog stands out:

    1. You ask the right question.
You don't simply ask whether AI is useful-you ask whether it is making us more dependent and affecting how we think.
    2. You keep humans at the center.
Your message that AI should assist humans, not replace human thinking is one of the strongest themes throughout the blog.
    3. You highlight critical thinking.
Your reminder to think first, question AI's answers, and use our own judgment is extremely important.
    4. You make AI relatable.
Comparing AI to a smart assistant makes a complex subject easy for everyone to understand.
    5. You address the danger of convenience.
Your section on how convenience can turn into laziness is particularly powerful. Technology should make us more capable-not less willing to think.
    6. You challenge our dependence on AI.
The idea of using AI for every small problem forces readers to examine their own habits.
    7. You protect the value of human creativity.
I especially appreciate your recognition that AI can enhance creativity while humans still bring emotion, experience, storytelling, and originality.
    8. You distinguish assistance from decision-making.
Your point that AI can provide information but humans must make important life decisions is essential.
    9. You make the message actionable.
“Think first, then use AI” is more than a statement-it is a practical philosophy for responsible AI use.
    10. Your conclusion gets to the heart of the AI conversation.
Intelligence isn't simply about speed or knowledge. Human experience, emotion, judgment, values, and understanding still matter. Your conclusion brings the entire discussion together beautifully.

What I particularly appreciate is that you didn't write an anti-AI blog-you wrote a pro-human blog.

    -That distinction matters.
    -AI can give us answers.
    -AI can increase our speed.
-AI can help us solve problems.

But AI should never become a substitute for our curiosity, judgment, creativity, or responsibility.

Your message is simple and powerful:

    -Let AI assist.
    -Let humans think.
    -Let humans decide.

Excellent work as always, Ritika. This is a conversation we need to keep having.

  12. AI is making people more productive, but it is also making many people more dependent & the real issue is not AI itself, but how wisely we choose to use it.
People once wrote emails, solved homework & created projects on their own.
Now, AI completes these tasks quickly, making life easier but also reducing effort.
AI acts like a smart assistant, not a replacement for human judgment.
AI speeds up work, improves efficiency & helps with learning.
    But constant reliance can weaken:
    independent thinking, problem‑solving, creativity, perseverance
The brain is like a muscle, if we stop using it, it weakens.
AI will change jobs, not simply eliminate them.
According to the World Economic Forum:
85 million jobs may be displaced but, 97 million new roles may be created
The people who know how to use AI wisely will move ahead of those who don’t.
Students often ask AI for answers instead of trying first.
    This reduces:
    critical thinking, persistence, deep understanding
Over‑dependence can make people mentally passive.
    Is AI Hurting Problem‑Solving Skills?
    Not automatically.
AI gives answers, but humans must:
evaluate them, question them, decide if they make sense
The danger comes when people stop thinking & simply accept whatever AI says.
Studies show AI can outperform the average human in creativity tasks.
But AI cannot surpass the top 10% most creative humans.
Human emotional depth, storytelling & originality still lead.
Use AI to explain, guide & check, not to replace your effort.
    Example for students:
Ask AI to explain a topic, Try solving problems yourself, Use AI to check your answers
AI should strengthen learning, not replace it.
AI Is a Tool, Humans Must Make the Final Decisions
AI can suggest careers, but it cannot know what brings you joy.
AI can give relationship advice, but it cannot understand emotional connection.
    Major life decisions require:
values, intuition, emotional intelligence, human experience.
    Conclusion
AI is powerful, helpful & increasingly necessary, but it must remain a tool, not a replacement for human thought.
The future belongs to people who know when to think for themselves & when to let AI assist.

  13. A very thoughtful and timely reflection, Ritika.

I believe the real question is not whether AI makes us productive or dependent—it is whether we remain the owners of our thinking.

AI can accelerate information, analysis and execution, but it cannot outsource our judgement, values, accountability and responsibility.

This is where I see an interesting connection with the Algorithm of Dharma:
    Observe → Question → Verify → Decide → Act → Take Responsibility.

AI can assist us at almost every stage, but the responsibility for the decision ultimately remains human.

The greatest danger is not that AI will think like humans. It is that humans may gradually stop thinking because AI is available to do it for them.

Use AI to expand your mind—not to replace it.
The future belongs not to those who use AI the most, but to those who use it wisely while retaining the courage to think independently. 🤖🧠🌱

  14. Absolutely agree. AI can amplify intelligence, but wisdom, empathy, ethics, and accountability must remain at the heart of how we use it. The future should be about humans and AI working together, not one replacing the other. 👏
